    Warehouse Employee (Dorval)New!

    Location: Dorval

    The Opportunity

    Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipe, valve and fitting distribution industry. We are searching for a Warehouse Employee for our Dorval, QC Warehouse site. The individual is responsible for the daily movement of product, materials and machinery inside and outside of the warehouse facility using a combination of manual and mechanical means.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment. This position is responsible to complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, re-stock inventory, pack and load orders for shipment and complete all necessary documents. Computer literacy and attention to details is required.

      Responsibilities

    • Locate and pick product and materials as per customer order requirements, use computer information or paper documentation to build order to completion, tag/label and prepare order for shipment, ensure all documentation relating to customer order is complete and filed
    • Follow daily delivery schedule to ensure orders are picked and completed on time and in proper sequencing for efficient loading
    • Load trucks, load in proper sequence for efficient delivery, ensure all product/material loaded is secure and safe prior to vehicle movement
    • Unload trucks, ensure correct documentation is received and completed, receive and re-stock inventory, verifies accuracy of product/material match with labels, bins/shelving/storage locations, places inventory in correct location, advises of any errors or discrepancies
    • On a daily basis, ensure all equipment is in good working condition, pre-start up and maintenance checklists are completed and submitted; to immediately communicate mechanical/maintenance issues to supervision
    • Ensure warehouse and storage yard is properly maintained in a clean and orderly manner; products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion
    • Respond to warehouse inquiries as required/requested; liaise with sales personnel as required/requested, to actively assist in the identification, communication and correction of warehouse errors
    • Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines
    • Operate overhead crane (where available) as required
    • Participate in warehouse physical inventory
    • Assist customers at warehouse sales counter as required/requested
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse environment, preferable with experience operating mechanical devices. Background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipes, valves and fittings is an asset
    • Secondary school diploma and/or a combination of education and experience
    • Bilingual (French & English)
    • Must be physically fit (walk, lift, climb)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have the capability to be trained and certified to operate mechanical lifting devices (forklift, overhead crane, boom truck crane, etc.)
    • Possess a beginners level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and web based applications
    • Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities and minimal supervision

    Delivery Driver (Dorval)New!

    The Opportunity

We are searching for a Delivery Driver for our Dorval, QC Warehouse site. The individual is responsible to ensure all documentation associated to the delivery and pickup of product and material is complete and filed and to assist in the warehouse as required/requested.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment. This position is responsible to complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, re-stock inventory, pack and load orders for shipment and complete all necessary documents. Computer literacy and attention to details is required.

      Responsibilities

    • On a daily basis complete appointments and deliveries as per the schedule determined by the Warehouse Manager (or designate), to advise throughout the day of any issues/problems with incomplete or unfinished appointments or deliveries;
    • Ensure product or material is loaded in a safe manner prior to vehicle movement, to inspect, document and report damaged product or materials, and to communicate any issues to Warehouse Manager (or designate);
    • On a daily basis ensure trucks and equipment are in good working condition; pre-start up checklists and maintenance checklists are completed and submitted, to immediately communicate mechanical/maintenance issues to supervisor;
    • Complete all necessary customer delivery or customer/supplier pick up documents according to established procedures, controls documents, obtains signatures, remits completed documents on a daily basis
    • Follow safe driving practices, follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations, ensure products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion
    • Responsible for the care, control and security of vehicle and product, must immediately report any breach to Warehouse Manager (or designate) and notify proper authorities
    • When not driving truck will assist in the warehouse, to pick, pack and complete orders, move and/or place stock and/or yard materials in the appropriate location, receive shipments and/or load/unload trucks (manually or mechanically)
    • Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines
    • Participate in warehouse physical inventory
    • Assist customers at warehouse sales counter as required/requested
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Class 3 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
    • Bilingual (French & English)
