Inside Sales Representative - Delta, BCNew!

The Opportunity

Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipe, valve and fitting distribution industry. We are searching for an Inside Sales Representative for our Delta, BC Office. The successful candidate will maximize sales within Delta, BC and surrounding areas and will generate new and existing accounts. The individual will be primarily responsible for receiving, generating and processing sales orders, preparing general correspondence and co-ordinating service needs. This position also serves as a customer contact for such matters as pricing, scheduling and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with an emphasis in Water Works products. The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Technical background is an asset. Computer literacy is required.

    Responsibilities

  • Receive sales orders from customers by phone, fax, email or via sales representative; enter all information required for order picking into the system; transcribing all non-stock material in orders to material control for purchasing purposes
  • Resolve customer issues and/or problems; liaise with outside sales, accounting/credit department, materials control and warehouse to investigate and resolve issues; recommend improvements and corrective actions
  • Prepare sales and delivery quotations; communicate quotes and product specifications; liaise with warehouse personnel to co-ordinate deliveries with customers; follow up as required/requested
  • Actively use selling techniques to increase sales through the use and promotion of complimentary and/or substitution products and specially priced items, pro-actively contacts customers as required/requested, reports on customer activity
  • Follow-up on direct shipments from supplies to customers to ensure order delivery and billing is completed and timely; prepares documentation for customer returned material to stock and/or to the supplier
  • Remain current with company products and services
  • Participate in and undertake any training as require/requested
  • Participate in physical inventory and reception duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service/sales or warehouse environment, preferably with progressive levels of responsibility in a related industry. Background knowledge in fire protection, waterworks, mechanical/industrial, and wastewater management pipe, valve and fittings
  • Proven business development skills
  • College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technologist (CET) or a related discipline
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blue prints is an asset

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

Material Handler Regina, SKNew!

Location: Regins, SK

The Opportunity

Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipes, valves and fittings distribution industry. We are searching for a Material Handler for our Regina Warehouse site. The individual is responsible for the daily movement of product, materials and machinery inside and outside of the warehouse facility using a combination of manual and mechanical means.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and handling pipe. This position is responsible to complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, re-stock inventory, pack and load orders for shipment and complete all necessary documents. Computer literacy and attention to detail is required.

    Responsibilities

  • Locate and pick product and materials as per customer order requirements, use computer information or paper documentation to build order to completion, tag/label and prepare order for shipment, ensure all documentation relating to customer order is complete and filed
  • Follow daily delivery schedule to ensure orders are picked and completed on time and in proper sequencing for efficient loading
  • Load trucks, load in proper sequence for efficient delivery, ensure all product/material loaded is secure and safe prior to vehicle movement
  • Unload trucks, ensure correct documentation is received and completed, receive and re-stock inventory, verifies accuracy of product/material match with labels, bins/shelving/storage locations, places inventory in correct location, advises of any errors or discrepancies
  • On a daily basis, ensure all equipment is in good working condition, pre-start up and maintenance checklists are completed and submitted; to immediately communicate mechanical/maintenance issues to supervision
  • Ensure warehouse and storage yard is properly maintained in a clean and orderly manner; products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion, snow removal when necessary
  • Respond to warehouse inquiries as required/requested; liaise with sales personnel as required/requested, to actively assist in the identification, communication and correction of warehouse errors
  • Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines
  • Operate overhead crane (where available) as required
  • Participate in warehouse physical inventory
  • Assist customers at warehouse sales counter as required/requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse environment, preferable with experience operating mechanical devices. Background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipe and fittings is an asset
  • Secondary school diploma and/or a combination of education and experience
  • Must be physically fit (walk, lift, climb)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a beginners level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and web based applications
  • Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities and minimal supervision
