    Warehouse Supervisor (Quebec City, QC)New!

    The Opportunity

    Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipe, valve and fitting distribution industry. We are searching for Warehouse Supervisor for our Quebec City site. The successful candidate will assist with the general administration and operation of the warehouse and to provide assistance to the Warehouse Manager/Regional Manager as required/requested.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a warehouse with an emphasis in pipes, valves, flanges, waste water and sprinkler products. This position is responsible for the delivery of optimum levels of customer service through ensuring the daily workload is assigned, priorities are established and addressed and, proper staffing levels are maintained.

      Responsibilities

    • Responsible to organize the receiving and shipment of materials, supplies and products using company trucks and outside transportation companies; contacts outside transportation companies/couriers to obtain costs and set up appointments as required/requested
    • Responsible to receive and record items received; inspects their condition and verifies them against the record of shipment; ensures data is inputted into the computer system, forwards associated paperwork and documents, generates and distributes reports as required/requested
    • Responsible to ensure orders and accompanying paperwork are complete, trucks are loaded and dispatched in an efficient and safe manner; make deliveries as required/requested
    • Responsible to supervise employees and direct work assignments, to monitor and document employee attendance, to sign off on employee time cards and time sheets

    The Opportunity

We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative for our Office and Warehouse in Delta, BC. The successful candidate will maximize sales within Delta and surrounding areas and will generate new and existing accounts. The individual will be primarily responsible for the development, servicing and maintenance of our customer account base, and to meet various sales targets.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience with an emphasis in water works, fire protection, and mechanical products. The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers and will have a good grasp and knowledge of waterworks. Computer literacy is required.

      Responsibilities

    • Work in the field making calls and attending industry events to develop close relationships with key decision makers among existing and new customers
    • Resolve customer/client issues/or problems liaise with inside sales, credit and warehouse
    • Develop and implement follow-up strategies for specific projects and ongoing basis
    • Focus on consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets while also providing accurate sales forecasting

      Responsibilities

    • Locate and pick product and materials as per customer order requirements, use computer information or paper documentation to build order to completion, tag/label and prepare order for shipment, ensure all documentation relating to customer order is complete and filed
    • Follow daily delivery schedule to ensure orders are picked and completed on time and in proper sequencing for efficient loading
    • Load trucks, load in proper sequence for efficient delivery, ensure all product/material loaded is secure and safe prior to vehicle movement

The ideal candidate is responsible to ensure customer satisfaction through receiving, generating and processing sales orders, preparing general correspondence and co-ordinating service needs. This position also serves as customer contact for such matters as pricing, scheduling and delivery. This position is also responsible to assist in the warehouse, complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, re-stock inventory, pack and load orders for shipment and complete all necessary documents.

      Responsibilities

    • Responsible to receive sales orders from customers by phone, fax, email or via salesrepresentatives; enters all information required for order picking into the system; transcribesall non stock material in orders to material control for purchasing purposes

We are searching for a Pipe Shop & Yard Worker for our Winnipeg Warehouse site. The individual is responsible for the daily fabrication of pipe using a combination of manual and mechanical means.

    This position is responsible for preparing pipe as per customer order requirements through a fabrication process which may involve cutting, threading, grooving, drilling or adding components to pipe. This position is also responsible for bundling and loading pipe on trucks, ensuring the pipe shop and yard areas are kept clean, ensuring all documentation associated to the fabrication process is complete and assist in the warehouse as required/requested.

      Responsibilities

    • Responsible to review customer fabrication requirements, retrieve correct material using order pick ticket and fabricate according to order specifications (cut, thread, groove, drill or install groove products such as snap or mechanical tees)
    • Responsible to ensure order is complete, report any shortages, discrepancies or problems to supervision, bundle and load onto trucks as required/requested, complete and file documentation

The individual is responsible for the daily movement of product, materials and machinery inside and outside of the warehouse facility using a combination of manual and mechanical means.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment. This position is responsible to complete customer orders, receive incoming shipments, re-stock inventory, pack and load orders for shipment and complete all necessary documents. Computer literacy and attention to details is required.

      Responsibilities

    • Locate and pick product and materials as per customer order requirements, use computer information or paper documentation to build order to completion, tag/label and prepare order for shipment, ensure all documentation relating to customer order is complete and filed
    • Follow daily delivery schedule to ensure orders are picked and completed on time and in proper sequencing for efficient loading
    • Load trucks, load in proper sequence for efficient delivery, ensure all product/material loaded is secure and safe prior to vehicle movement
    • Unload trucks, ensure correct documentation is received and completed, receive and re-stock inventory, verifies accuracy of product/material match with labels, bins/shelving/storage locations, places inventory in correct location, advises of any errors or discrepancies
    • On a daily basis, ensure all equipment is in good working condition, pre-start up and maintenance checklists are completed and submitted; to immediately communicate mechanical/maintenance issues to supervision
    • Ensure warehouse and storage yard is properly maintained in a clean and orderly manner; products, materials and machinery are moved and stored in a safe fashion
    • Respond to warehouse inquiries as required/requested; liaise with sales personnel as required/requested, to actively assist in the identification, communication and correction of warehouse errors
    • Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines
    • Operate overhead crane (where available) as required
    • Participate in warehouse physical inventory
    • Assist customers at warehouse sales counter as required/requested
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse environment, preferable with experience operating mechanical devices. Background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipes, valves and fittings is an asset
    • Secondary school diploma and/or a combination of education and experience
    • Must be physically fit (walk, lift, climb)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Possess a beginners level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and web based applications
    • Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities and minimal supervision

We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative for our Office and Warehouse in Dorval, QC. The successful candidate will maximize sales within Dorval and surrounding areas and will generate new and existing accounts. The individual will be primarily responsible for the development, servicing and maintenance of our customer account base and meet various sales targets.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience with an emphasis in industrial, mechanical and fire protection products. The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Computer literacy and bilingual in French/English is required.

      Responsibilities

    • Work in the field making calls and attending industry events to develop close relationships with key decision makers among existing and new customers
    • Resolve customer/client issues/or problems liaise with inside sales, credit and warehouse
    • Develop and implement follow-up strategies for specific projects and ongoing basis
    • Focus on consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets while also providing accurate sales forecasting
    • Communicate with customers providing or coordinating customer service, quotes, and dispute resolution by building strong relationship between the customer and Company
    • Developing and servicing existing and new customers, to gain and sustain long term relationships between clients and the company

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in customer service/sales capacity in related industry in the capacity preferably with background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipe, valve and fitting
    • Proven business development skills
    • College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technologist (CET) or a related discipline
    • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blue prints is an asset
    • Bilingual and fluent in French and English; oral and written
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal and negotiations/problem solving skills
    • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
    • Ability to grasp and communicate the technical aspects of the company’s products
