The Opportunity

We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative to work out for our Edmonton, AB. location. The successful candidate will maximize sales within Edmonton and surrounding areas and will also generate new and maintain existing accounts. The individual will be primarily responsible for the development, servicing and maintenance of our customer account base, and to meet various sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with an emphasis in mechanical /industrial, fire protection, waste water management, and oil/gas. The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Computer literacy is required.

    Responsibilities

  • Work in the field making calls and attending industry events to develop close relationships with key decision makers among existing and new customers
  • Resolve customer/client issues/or problems liaise with inside sales, credit and warehouse
  • Develop and implement follow-up strategies for specific projects and ongoing basis

The successful candidate will maximize sales within Vancouver City, BC and surrounding areas and will generate new and existing accounts. This position is responsible to organize, direct, control and evaluate the overall activities and performance of the Branch location according to established policies and procedures. This position is also responsible to develop and maintain sales from customers through personal sales calls to generate business from new and existing accounts.

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profit and loss relating to the activities of the Branch; to manage margin levels for maximum profitability and to control expenses and costs; to report financial data as required/requested

This position also serves as a customer contact for such matters as pricing, scheduling and delivery.

    Responsibilities

  • Receive sales orders from customers by phone, fax, email or via sales representative; enter all information required for order picking into the system; transcribing all non-stock material in orders to material control for purchasing purposes
  • Resolve customer issues and/or problems; liaise with outside sales, accounting/credit department, materials control and warehouse to investigate and resolve issues; recommend improvements and corrective actions
  • Prepare sales and delivery quotations; communicate quotes and product specifications; liaise with warehouse personnel to co-ordinate deliveries with customers; follow up as required/requested

Outside Sales Representative - Winnipeg, MBNew!

The Opportunity

Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipe, valve and fitting distribution industry. We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative for our Office and Warehouse in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful candidate will maximize sales within Winnipeg and surrounding areas and will generate new and existing accounts. The individual will be primarily responsible for the development, servicing and maintenance of our customer account base, and to meet various sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with an emphasis in mechanical /industrial, fire protection, waste water management, and waterworks products The incumbent will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Computer literacy is required.

    Responsibilities

  • Work in the field making calls and attending industry events to develop close relationships with key decision makers among existing and new customers
  • Resolve customer/client issues/or problems liaise with inside sales, credit and warehouse
  • Develop and implement follow-up strategies for specific projects and ongoing basis
  • Focus on consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets while also providing accurate sales forecasting
  • Communicate with customers providing or coordinating customer service, quotes, and dispute resolution by building strong relationship between the customer and Company
  • Developing and servicing existing and new customers, to gain and sustain long term relationships between clients and the company
  • Prepare sales forecasts for the next selling year; review sales results with the Regional Manager on a monthly basis or as required/requested
  • Territory planning, calls and route planning to maximize sales
  • Identify, target and acquire new customer accounts
  • Accountable for monitoring client/customer creditworthiness, reporting irregularities to credit department and Regional Manager
  • Participate in special sales functions and trade shows as require/requested
  • Remain current in company product
  • Prepare and generate reports as required/requested

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in customer service/sales capacity in related industry in the capacity preferably with background knowledge in plumbing, heating, HVAC, mechanical/industrial pipe and fittings
  • Proven business development skills
  • College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technologist (CET) or a related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal and negotiations/problem solving skills
  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to grasp and communicate the technical aspects of the company’s products
  • Possess an intermediate level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and web based applications
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi-task and execute a plan of action
  • Must be able to self-manage and prioritize goals with minimal supervision
